Beverly Darlene Branscomb, age 77, of Vinton, passed away Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at her home. She was born August 8, 1939 in Alger, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis Givens and Mary King Stober. Darlene was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, having cookouts and playing cards. In years past, she was a caregiver at the County Home in Hardin County. Darlene was associated with the Fairview Church of Christ in Christian Union and she always enjoyed their visits with her. She is survived by her daughter, Rebekah L. Denney of Vinton; granddaughter, Shannon Shoemaker (Joe) of Frankfort; brother, Gary Stober of Eustis, Fla.; nieces, Teresa Geistfer, Peggy Jenner and Joanne Johnson (Chuck), along with many friends, including specal friends, Bonnie Mullins, Kathy Sperry and Scott and Pam Funk. Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Russell David Branscomb in 1996; son, Stephen Wayne Branscomb; brothers, Raymond Givens and Lloyd Givens; sister, Betty Streets; and niece, Robin. Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Denver McCarty officiating. Burial will be in the Leach Cemetery in Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the McWilliams Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
