Catherine L. "Cathy" Swift, age 69, of Wellston, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born March 8, 1947 in Mason County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Jack Bowling and Betty Bishop Shipman. Cathy was employed at General Mills in Wellston, where she had worked for over 25 years. She attended The Vessel Community Church in Columbus and she enjoyed reading and cooking. Cathy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Ermeleen St. John of Benton, Tennessee and Bryant and Pam Voss of North Carolina; sister, Cheryl Condra (Alan) of Columbus; brothers, Brad Bishop of Hawaii and Terrance Bishop (Wendy) of Florida, along with 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Swift, and her son, Allen St. John. Calling hours will be Saturday from 12 to 2 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Galen McCleod officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
