Evelyn M. Butt, age 84, of Ray, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Four Winds Community in Jackson, Ohio. She was born September 22, 1932 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Charles Levi McFadden and Ethel Leona Rinehart McFadden. Evelyn attended Allensville Schools and was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed reading and attending flea markets, and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by her children, Joyce Elaine Frisby of Wellston, James Alan Butt (Becky) of Wellston and David Michael Butt (Krista Brown) of Jackson; 4 grandchildren, Eric McManus, Nicholas Frisby, Jamie Butt and Levi Butt; siblings, Frances Speakman (Lawrence) of Ray, Betty Coyle of Ray, Sharon Turner (Ivan) of Circleville and Bill McFadden (Sonnie) of Wellston, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edgar Mathis Butt on August 22, 1994; son, Charles Butt; son-in-law, Owen Frisby; brothers, Robert McFadden and Charles McFadden, Jr.; and sisters, Carol Clark and Thelma Barlow. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery.
