Bernard Franklin "Frank" Eberts, age 80, of Hamden, passed away Monday morning, December 18, 2017 at his home. He was born October 6, 1937 in Orten, Ohio to the late Oscar Bernard Eberts and Thelma Mae Bays Eberts. Frank was a 1956 graduate of Hamden High School. He was the owner and operator of Frank Eberts and Sons Trucking for over 50 years. While working his trucking business, Frank was also employed by the Chessie System Railroad from where he retired with over 30 years of service. Even though his trucking business was a great passion of his, Frank also found enjoyment in just being outside mowing and spending time with all of his grandchildren. He attended the Hamden United Methodist Church and was a member of the Delta Lodge #207 F&AM and the Ohio Truckers Association. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Joan "Bobbi" Kinsel Eberts; children, Frank Eberts (Eila) of Wellston, John Eberts of Hamden, Robin Henry of Hamden, and Carol Mae Brown (Bobby) of Hamden; grandchildren, Jake Eberts (Dana) of Wellston, Cary Eberts of Chillicothe, Amber Eberts of Jackson, Alex Henry of Hamden, Evan Brown of Hamden and Garrett Brown of Hamden; step-grandsons, Dakota Brown of Wellston and Austin Craig of Wellston; great-granddaughters, Mykenna Eberts and Dylann Eberts, both of Wellston and Lillie Eberts of Jackson; sister, Dollie Barton of Hamden; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Nel Kinsel of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Jane Allison of Hamden, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1 PM. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Eberts and Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.
