Harold R. "Patter" McKee, age 61, of Hamden, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. He was born January 20, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Harold R. McKee and Mary F. White Immer. Pat was a heavy equipment operator, who was formerly employed by Waterloo Coal Company. He was also a former employee of Daybreak Transportation, where he really enjoyed transporting people to their doctor's appointments. Pat also enjoyed playing cards, watching Western T.V. shows and Facebook, but most of all, he enjoyed talking and being around his family and friends and taking care of his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rita A. Peoples McKee; daughters, Jennifer D. Norris (Donnie) of Hamden and Amanda McKee Shepherd (Joe) of Middlepoint, Oh.; grandchildren, Haley, D.J., Hunter, Connor, Jessica and Elzie; sisters, Keri Albright of Walbridge, Oh., and Mary Murphy of McArthur; brother, Anthony McKee of Wellston, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In keeping with Patter's wishes, his body was cremated. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive Suite900, Arlington, Virginia 22202.
