Joshua Lee Willis, age 36, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 22, 2018. He was born September 24, 1981 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Timothy Lee Willis and Deidra Sue Spearry Willis. Josh graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 2000. He enjoyed attending the Wellston Church of the Nazarene and fellowshipping with the congregation. Josh also enjoyed video gaming, playing cards, fishing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his mother, Deidra Willis (Chuck King) of Wellston; father, Timothy Willis of Jackson; half-sisters, Alisha Hendrickson and Amy Willis; grandfather, George Walton (Naomi) of Portsmouth; grandmothers, Lois Patton of Wellston and Betty Willis of Jackson; girlfriend, Emily Russ of Jackson, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Freda Spearry and Donald and Amelia Lee Willis; great-grandmother, Dora Cash; and uncle, Jimmie Spearry. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
