Juanita Jean( Angel) Dutcher, 87, of McArthur, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21 at Pickering Hospice House in Lancaster, Ohio.
She was born July 12, 1929 in Logan, Ohio to the late Rev. Claude and Ruth Stephenson Angel.
Juanita was retired from the Star Washington school system in Union Furnace, Ohio, where she worked as a cook for several years. She was a life-long active member of Walnut Grove Church in Vinton County, where she served as a trustee, Sunday school teacher and an assistant pianist. In addition, Juanita also served as a trustee for the Scioto Valley Christian Conference, where she worked as a cook for over 50 years. In her later years, Juanita volunteered at various places throughout the Vinton County community including: CARE Outreach, The Historical Society, and the Senior Citizens. In 1997, she was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her efforts.
Juanita was the widow of Rev. Willard L. Dutcher, who passed away December 6, 1997.
Surviving is one son, Paul (Carma Turner) Dutcher of McArthur; five grandchildren, Alexander (Maria Kern) Dutcher of Chillicothe, Mandy (Brent) Ousley of McArthur, Jason (Jami Dutcher) Morton of Waverly, Jarrod (Joy Pritchard) Morton of Chillicothe, and Emily Morton of McArthur ; seven great-grandchildren, Aric Ousley, Christopher Sabin, Roderic Dutcher, Charliece Ousley, Dominic Dutcher, Jamison Morton, and Josie Morton; one sister, Janice Fetherolf of Logan; one brother, Rev. Harold (Connie Horn) Angel of Logan; one sister-in-law, Patty Angel of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Isabelle Neff and three brothers, Claude Angel Jr., James Angel, and Jack Angel.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Rhoads officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
