Norma Jean Garrett Harper, age 87, of Ecorse, Michigan, and a former resident of Hamden, passed away Wednesday evening, December 27, 2017 at the Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was born December 13, 1930 in Hamden, Ohio to the late Edward Franklin Garrett and Resa Mae Ward Garrett. She is survived by her children, Herman Clark, Jr. (Linda) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brenda Clark-Smathers-York of Ecorse, Michigan, Daniel Clark (Stacy) of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Michael Lee Clark (Cindy) of Allen Park Michigan; sister, Betty Sech of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Pearl Garrett (Linda) of Greenfield, Ohio, along with 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many others who loved her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Herman Clark, Sr., Melvin Dawson and Claude Harper; infant daughter, Deborah Clark; and her brother, John Garrett. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Pearl Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
