Thelma A. West, age 85, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday evening, February 28, 2012, at her residence. She was born July 28, 1926 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hulda Napper McKinnis. Thelma was a loving mother and homemaker. She is survived her children, Cheryl Caldwell of McArthur, Charles Taylor of Taylorsville, N.C., Jerry Taylor of Eden, North Carolina, India Taylor of Wellston, Lana Richardson of Nashville, Tenn., Melody Peoples of McArthur and Terra Barrows of Dalton, Ga., as well as 37 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward West; daughters, Judith McWilliams and Beulah "Betty" Dutcher; son, Roger Raymond Taylor; 3 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Maurice Napper officiating. At Thelma's request, cremation will follow the service and burial will be in the Curry Cemetery.
